Warehouse Viewer
The Warehouse Viewer is a live 3D view of your warehouse floor plan — monitor real-time stock positions, load capacity, order flow and activity stats across all locations.
Section 01
What is the Warehouse Viewer?
1 minute
The Warehouse Viewer is a read-only, always-live version of the Warehouse Designer floor plan. It has no drawing tools — instead it focuses on showing you what's happening in the warehouse right now: where stock is sitting, which racks are low, and how active orders are flowing.
- Shows the floor plan from the Warehouse Designer — the layout is the same; you cannot edit it from the Viewer
- Switch the linked warehouse using the dropdown — the viewer shows Brytebuild Demo — HQ linked to the Example warehouse
- Toggle five real-time overlays: Live (stock positions), Load (capacity), Flow (order movement), Stats (activity numbers) and Stock (product quantities)
- Coloured dots on the floor plan show stock status: ● ok / ● low / ● out
- The Live stock panel (bottom-left) shows SKUs in stock, total qty and low-stock count for the linked warehouse
- The stats bar (bottom-centre) shows live production and order numbers: Made Today, WIP, On-Time, Running, Idle, Late, Active Orders
- Use Find order… to search for a specific order or product and highlight it on the floor plan
- Designed for wall screens or warehouse floor monitors — all data updates automatically without any interaction
The Warehouse Viewer and Warehouse Designer use the same floor plan. The Designer is for building and editing the layout. The Viewer is for monitoring live stock and order activity. Use the Viewer on a dedicated screen on the warehouse floor — it requires no interaction and updates continuously.

The interface at a glance
1 minute
The Viewer has three main zones: the toolbar (layout/warehouse selector, view controls, overlay toggles, and Find order), the canvas (the live 3D floor plan), and two floating panels — the Live stock panel (bottom-left) and the stats bar (bottom-centre).

Section 03
Toolbar
2 minutes
The toolbar sits above the canvas and has three rows. Row 1 selects which layout and warehouse to view. Row 2 controls the view and activates overlays. Row 3 is the Find order search bar.
Row 1 — Layout and warehouse
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Brytebuild Demo — HQ | The name of the active floor plan layout, loaded from the Warehouse Designer. This is read-only in the Viewer — to change the layout, go to the Warehouse Designer. |
| Example ▼ | The linked warehouse dropdown. Switch between warehouses to see their live stock on the same floor plan. Data in the Live stock panel and stats bar updates when you change this. |
Row 2 — View and overlays
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| All floors ▼ | Switch between floors/storeys if the plan has multiple levels. Shows all floors by default. |
| 2D / 3D | Toggle the canvas view. 3D is active (blue) by default — shows the full isometric rendered view. 2D switches to a flat plan view. |
| Elev... ▼ | Elevation/camera angle setting for the 3D view. |
| ✓ Fit | Fit the entire floor plan into the visible canvas area. Useful after panning or zooming. |
| ⊠ | Reset the view to the default camera position and zoom. |
| 🟧 Walls | Toggle wall visibility. When active (orange), walls are shown. Toggle off to see only the floor and objects — useful for dense plans. |
| 🏠 | Jump to the home/default viewpoint saved in the Designer. |
| 📐 | Measurement tool — show object dimensions on hover. |
| Tags: off ▼ | Control which data tags are displayed on objects. Options include stock labels, barcodes, product names. Currently off. |

Overlay toggles
2 minutes
Five overlay buttons on the right of the toolbar activate different data layers on the canvas. Each can be toggled independently. All five can be on simultaneously.
The Live, Load, Flow and Stock overlays only show data when a warehouse is selected in the Row 1 dropdown. If the warehouse has no stock data or barcode containers assigned to rack positions, the overlay dots will not appear even when toggled on.
Section 05
Live stock panel
1 minute
The Live stock panel floats in the bottom-left of the canvas. It gives a quick summary of the linked warehouse's current stock state, and lets you search for a specific product or barcode container to highlight it on the floor plan.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Warehouse name | The name of the linked warehouse — e.g. Example. This matches the dropdown selection in Row 1 of the toolbar. |
| SKUs in stock | The number of distinct product SKUs currently recorded as having stock in this warehouse. 0 if no stock is recorded against barcode containers. |
| Total qty | The sum of all stock quantities across all locations in this warehouse. 0 in the example. |
| Low-stock | The number of SKUs currently below their minimum stock threshold. 4 in the example — shown as amber dots on the floor plan. |
| ● ok / ● low / ● out | The dot colour legend — green for stock at or above threshold, amber for low, red for zero/out-of-stock. These match the coloured dots shown on rack positions on the canvas. |
| Product / barcode id… search | Search for a specific product name or barcode container ID. Matching locations are highlighted on the canvas and the view centres on them. See Section 07. |
| × close | Closes the Live stock panel. The overlay dots remain visible on the canvas — only the summary panel is hidden. |
Section 06
Stats bar
1 minute
The stats bar floats at the bottom-centre of the canvas. It shows live production and order activity counts for the linked warehouse and its associated jobs. It is activated by the 📋 Stats overlay toggle.
| Stat | What it shows | Example value |
|---|---|---|
| Made Today | Number of work orders completed and goods produced today. | 0 |
| WIP | Work in progress — orders currently being processed. | 1 |
| On-Time | Percentage or count of orders on schedule. Shows — when no data is available. | — |
| Running | Number of jobs or machines currently active/running. Shown in amber when non-zero. | 4 |
| Idle | Number of jobs or machines currently idle — assigned but not actively running. | 0 |
| Late | Number of orders that have passed their due date without being completed. | 0 |
| Active Orders | Total number of open/active orders in the system for this warehouse session. | 7 |
Section 07
Find order
1 minute
The Find order… search bar spans the full width of Row 3 in the toolbar. It lets you search for a specific order, product or barcode directly from the Viewer without navigating away from the floor plan.
- Type an order number, product name or barcode container ID into the search bar
- Matching results appear in a dropdown — select one to highlight that location on the canvas and centre the view on it
- Useful for quickly locating where a specific item is stored in the warehouse, or which rack contains stock for a particular order
- The search works across all barcode containers and locations assigned to the linked warehouse
- The search also appears inside the Live stock panel under Product / barcode id… — both point to the same data and produce the same highlight behaviour
The Warehouse Viewer is designed to run on a dedicated monitor on the warehouse floor with no interaction. Set the Stats, Live and Stock overlays to on, switch to 3D, and the display will update automatically as stock moves and orders progress throughout the day.
