Delivery Orders
Delivery Orders track outbound shipments from warehouse to despatch — create Non-Order and Order DOs, manage items and packings, and progress through the three-stage lifecycle.

What are Delivery Orders?

A Delivery Order (DO) records an outbound shipment from a warehouse to a customer or supplier. Confirming a DO moves stock out and closes the relevant order lines.
- Two types — Non-Order (standalone) or Order (linked to a sales order). Fixed after creation.
- Two delivery targets — Customer or Supplier. Also fixed after creation.
- Lifecycle: Not Started → Ongoing → Despatched. Confirming generates a Delivery Note.
- Linked packings show a Packed vs Ordered comparison; Quality Inspections and NCRs are visible on the record.
The Delivery Order Type (Non-Order vs Order) and the Deliver To party (Customer vs Supplier) cannot be changed after the DO is created. On the edit form both fields are shown as read-only with a "Cannot be changed" or "Type locked" notice. If the wrong option was selected, cancel the DO and create a new one.

The delivery orders list

Navigate to Warehouse → Delivery Orders to see all delivery orders. Filter by product, or use Print / Download Excel to export. Each row shows the DO reference, name, tracking ID, warehouse, party, shipper, status, dispatch date, arrival date and type.

Creating a delivery order — Non-Order

Click + Add Delivery Order to open the creation form. It is divided into seven numbered steps. The Non-Order / Customer combination is the most common standalone despatch — shown below.

Section 04
Creating a delivery order — Order (linked)

Selecting Order in Step 2 reveals two additional tables: a Sales Orders table and a Works Orders table. Select the sales order to fulfil (radio button) and optionally tick one or more linked works orders. When Automatically create packing list is ticked, Packing Date and Packing Time fields appear.

Click a DO reference to open the detail record. The header shows the DO name, reference badge, type and status badges, and a KPI strip (Warehouse / Shipper / Packings count). The body contains the Delivery Order Details panel, Item List, Packings section, and Quality Inspections section.

Section 06
Editing a delivery order

Click Edit from the detail footer to open the edit form. The form uses the same seven-step layout as creation but with two restrictions: the Delivery Order Type cannot be changed ("Cannot be changed" notice on Step 2) and the Deliver To party type is locked ("Type locked" notice on Step 3). All other fields — name, notes, dates, shipper, warehouse, items — are editable.

The Delivery Order Type (Non-Order vs Order) and the Deliver To type (Customer vs Supplier) cannot be changed after creation. If the wrong combination was selected, cancel the DO and raise a new one.
