Using the Warehouse Designer

Using the Warehouse Designer

The warehouse designer is utilised to plan your warehouse layout. Within the warehouse designer, you can design your warehouse according to your preferences or even replicate your actual warehouse. This page will guide you on how to design your warehouse.

Warehouse Designer

To design a warehouse go to the warehouse details page and click edit warehouse in the layout tab.

There are several options available in the warehouse designer:

  • 2D to observe a 2D view of the warehouse.
  • 3D to view the warehouse in 3D.
  • 3D First Person view option to explore the warehouse in a first-person perspective.
  • “+” to open the catalogue for dragging and dropping props.
  • Other options for loading a project, saving a project, undoing actions, etc.

Now, let’s discuss how to add props to your warehouse. To add a prop, press the “+” icon to open the catalogue. Now, let’s add some walls for our warehouse by searching for “wall” in the search option.

Now, lets place walls in our warehouse.

Now, let’s add a door to our warehouse. After adding the door, let’s view our warehouse in 3D by selecting the 3D option.

After adding the door, let’s add some storage racks, which are used to store our containers. Containers are utilised for storing multiple items. Select items and search for storage racks to add racks to the warehouse.

Let’s explore an important feature next. The warehouse designer also supports a first-person view. To activate the first-person view, click on the icon resembling a person.

It is similar to the 3D view, but in the first-person view, you can control the camera using the WASD keys, simulating the experience of walking through your warehouse.

Once you have finished designing your warehouse, do not forget to save your project. After saving your project, it will be displayed in the layout tab of the details page
