Product Management
On this page, the information provided below will guide you on how to view all items in the inventory, how to create items, how to amend items, how to remove items, and how to view specific items. After perusing this page, you should have a clear understanding of how to create, edit, and delete products.
Inventory
The Inventory page displays a list of all the products within the company. To access the inventory page, select the inventory tab from the dashboard.

Each column in the inventory table provides distinct information about the items.
- Thumbnail: Shows a small image of the item’s primary photograph.
- Product Name: Indicates the name of the item.
- Status: Displays whether the item is active, inactive, or discontinued.
- Total Stock: Reveals the aggregate stock level of the item across all warehouses.
- Item Unit: Indicates the measurement unit for the item.
The “Stock Per Warehouse” column details the specific stock quantity for each warehouse. To view the stock per warehouse, click on the Warehouse icon located beneath the “Stock Per Warehouse” column.

Note
“Main warehouse” refers to the warehouse name created by the user, adjacent to it is the total quantity within that warehouse.
“Item is not in any warehouse” indicates that the stock level of that item is zero and the item is absent from all warehouses.
“Not in any warehouse” signifies that a specific quantity of the item is absent from all warehouses, for instance, “Not in any warehouse: 65” means that 65 units of the item are not stored in any warehouse.
Create Item/Assembly
When creating an item in Brytebuild, you have the option to select either an assembly or the item itself. An assembly may comprise multiple items. The creation process for both types is similar, albeit with minor differences. To create an item, navigate to the inventory/item page and choose the type of item you wish to create. Fill in the details and, at the end, select the supplier and enter the item’s price, then press next. On the following page, select any drawings/images of the item, if available, and then press next. On the final step, select any assets of the items, if applicable, and press submit. Congratulations, you have created your first item.
For Assembly creation, all steps are the same except for the Bill of Materials (BOM) tab, in which you select the item that is required for that assembly. We will discuss the difference between an assembly and an item later on this page.
Item Details
To view the details of a specific item, navigate to the inventory page and click on the eye icon corresponding to the item you wish to examine. You will be directed to the detail page of that item.

The item detail page features four tabs: “General”, “Details“, “Transactions“, and “Barcode“. For assemblies, there is an additional tab labelled “BOM”. The General Tab contains all the basic information such as name, images, assets, guides, etc

The section titled “Guides Involved” includes all the guides that utilise this specific item. To understand what the guides entail?

Difference b/w item and assembly
Assembly shows us what specific parts/items are required to craft a certain product. Assembly can have multiple items. For example a car assembly can have a wheel item, body item and an engine item. On the other hand an item/part is an object that consists of the same material, more or less. e.g screw item, bottle item.
